COURSE INFORMATION
FOUR WEEK COURSE
On our four-week floristry course, you’ll learn everything you need to know to work as a florist. The focus of the course will be learning traditional and sustainable floral techniques, creating your own CI to become more attractive to clients, and designing large and small floral designs. Only 8 Students are taught once a year in June. Therefore apply early, places are quickly taken.
LEARN
We start from the beginning, building up knowledge about different flowers and their handling, care, and use for different floral designs. You are taught classic floral techniques and new sustainable ways to arrange flowers.
CREATE
Over the four weeks, you’ll create a huge range of floral displays, large and small. Classic hand-tied bouquets and flowers for high-class events. Next, to the floral classes, you will learn how to design your own portfolio for your flower business. You will gain knowledge of budgeting, quotations, and getting clients.
Week one: Introduction to floristry, Bridal Flowers & Wreaths
3 days of bridal bouquets, floral crowns, corsage, and buttonholes -12 floral designs
1 day of wreath designs for hanging and for table decoration - 2 floral designs
1day lectures on color theory, floristry tools, famous florists
& bridal shooting of your finished bouquets
Week two: Wedding Flowers
4 days of floral designs for wedding table settings and ceremony flowers.
You will learn 4 different wedding styles. (boho wedding, castle wedding, traditional wedding, gypsy wedding, garden-style wedding)
One-day lecture on how to photograph with your mobile taught by a photographer
Week three: Event Florals
4 days of flowers for hotels, corporate events, private parties, and floral installations - 9 floral designs
1 day on branding for floristry by a branding expert
Lectures on vessels for a florist, floral market, and quotation
Week four: Seasonal Flowers & your Final Work
1 day of valentines day and mothers day bouquets- 3 floral designs
1-day funeral flowers -3 floral designs
1 day create your own floral design, photographed by the school for your portfolio with a budget of 100,00 which is included in the monthly course
last day of creating individually your portfolio, hand out of the certificates
DEVELOPMENT
The most important tool for any florist is finding their own style. Throughout the course, this will be our focus. We’ll inspire you to put your own style on each thing you create: to try, test, explore, and experiment.

Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day.
We will accept a deposit to secure your place. We’ll ask for full payment two weeks before the start of the floristry course.
You’ll receive a certificate from the Berlin Flower School upon successful completion of the course.
