Three Students, Three Creative Visions from Our June 2026 Careers Course

Three Students, Three Creative Visions from Our June 2026 Careers Course

One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching is watching each student develop their own creative voice. During our June 2026 Careers Course, Elizer, Dzung and Mar each interpreted floral design in a completely different way, demonstrating how the same technical foundation can lead to unique artistic outcomes.

Elizer from the USA created a romantic vintage-inspired wedding concept full of personality and movement. Working with contrasting berry and orange tones, she designed a graceful, airy bridal bouquet, a delicate floral handpiece and an elegant tablescape styled with vintage linens, seasonal berries and a beautifully curated backdrop. Using scabiosa, cotinus, wild sweet peas and Chinese lantern flowers, her work felt organic, playful and effortlessly romantic.

Dzung from Vietnam took a timeless approach to wedding floristry with a sophisticated palette of green and white. Her elegant tablescape was complemented by a contemporary bridal bouquet and a hand-tied bouquet featuring orchids, roses, gerberas and carnations. The clean lines and harmonious colour palette created a refined and modern interpretation of classic wedding flowers.

Mar from Mexico explored an entirely different direction. Inspired by the bold interiors and design aesthetic of the 1960s, she created a contemporary floral installation featuring two sculptural silver vases alongside a striking floral tablescape. By combining reflective silver with rich shades of red, she explored contrast, texture and form using roses, gerberas, orchids and nigella. Her work was bold, artistic and expressive, demonstrating how floristry can move beyond traditional arrangements to become an immersive design statement.

These three projects beautifully demonstrate the philosophy behind Berlin Flower School. While every student learns the same professional techniques, each is encouraged to develop a personal design language. The result is a collection of work that is as individual as the designers themselves—whether romantic, timeless or contemporary. Seeing this creative transformation is one of the greatest rewards of every Careers Course for me.
