This weekend's Open Garden Days in Berlin-Rixdorf offered a rare glimpse into some of the city's most beautiful private gardens. While each space had its own charm, one garden in particular reminded me of the British tradition of garden design, where colour, structure, and seasonality come together to create a truly immersive experience.

One of the most exciting aspects of our Careers Course is the opportunity for students to participate in a professionally styled wedding editorial. During the second week of the programme, students work together to design, style, and execute a complete wedding concept at a beautiful location, gaining invaluable hands-on experience while building their portfolios.

For this shoot, we created a modern Bridgerton-inspired wedding story in soft peach and lavender tones, blending romantic elegance with contemporary floral styling. Set against the stunning backdrop of Körnerpark in Berlin, the editorial featured delicate seasonal blooms, modern floral details, and a beautiful bridal look that brought the entire vision to life.

Inspired by Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, this Floral Stylist Course editorial celebrates a woman whose confidence, charisma and individuality made her one of the most influential figures of 18th-century England. Set against a quintessentially English backdrop of elegant gardens and timeless architecture, the shoot captures the romance, refinement and quiet strength that defined her legacy.

Inspired by the film Jeanne du Barry, our Floral Stylist Course photoshoot pays homage to one of history's most fascinating Baroque heroines—a woman who rose from humble beginnings to navigate the splendour and complexities of Versailles. Through opulent floral design and romantic storytelling, we celebrate not only her beauty, but also the resilience, intelligence and strength required for a woman to survive and define herself in 18th-century France.

nspired by the iconic portrait of Madame de Pompadour by François Boucher, this editorial reimagines one of history's most influential women through a contemporary floral lens. While subtle references to the Rococo period can be found in the stationery, decorative objects and vase forms, the floral designs, jewellery and overall aesthetic remain distinctly modern. A monochromatic palette of blue flowers transforms the opulence of the 18th century into something fresh, sculptural and unexpected, creating a visual dialogue between historical elegance and contemporary floral design.

nspired by the extraordinary story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, this shoot explores beauty, visibility, and historical presence through the visual language of Baroque still life and florals. A homage to a woman whose existence quietly intersected with one of the earliest legal shifts against slavery in Britain, and whose image still radiates dignity, softness, and strength today.

My fascination with Marie Antoinette began as a teenager and deepened over the years into a love for the beauty, craftsmanship, and emotional complexity of the Rococo world. This shoot is an homage to the misunderstood young queen behind the myth — and to the women throughout history who were punished simply for daring to stand out.

Berlin Flower School is a modern floristry school in Berlin specialising in luxury weddings, floral styling, event floristry, and creative career development. Founded by Julia Gauld-Ritterspach in 2017, the school combines technical floral education with fashion, colour psychology, branding, and visual storytelling. Courses are intentionally limited to only five students at a time, creating a highly personal learning experience with individual mentoring and creative coaching. Students not only learn professional floristry techniques, but also develop portfolios, business knowledge, social media skills, and their own artistic identity. Even after the courses are finished, students continue receiving guidance and business support, creating a long-term international creative community around the school.

Day three of the Florist Stylist Course explored bold floral storytelling through vibrant colour explosions, sculptural installations, and immersive styling. Floral jewellery, headpieces, and oversized shawls blended with layered backgrounds, while pink and orange tones created a striking visual statement inspired by kimono silhouettes and contemporary Chinese fashion.

Teaching floristry is about far more than flowers for me — it is about helping people believe in themselves, discover their creative voice, and pursue their dreams with courage. Watching each student grow throughout the Floral Careers Course is one of the greatest joys and privileges of my work. The final projects of our March 2026 graduates beautifully reflected their personal journeys, showing not only technical skill, but heart, transformation, and authenticity.

Day two of the florist stylist course took place inside the Berlin Flower School, where we created suspended gerbera installations and styled modern floral accessories and jewellery. The shoot explored the tension between the softness of eastern kimono-inspired aesthetics and a contemporary western floral interpretation, resulting in a series of sculptural, atmospheric compositions.

This blog post explores the key aesthetic directions and emotional design movements shaping Trend Forecasting 2026. Inspired by fashion, interiors, floral art, architecture and textile culture, the trends reflect a growing desire for beauty, craftsmanship and emotional storytelling. From romantic pink palettes and baroque gold details to layered multicolor patterns and moody petrol contrasts, the forecast highlights how color and texture are becoming more expressive and immersive. Historical references, couture fashion and museum inspirations play an important role throughout the trends. The focus is on creating atmospheres that feel artistic, sensual and emotionally rich.

This International Women’s Day, I’m feeling deeply grateful for all the incredible women I’ve had the chance to support through my Flower School over the years.

Watching women reconnect with their creativity and believe in themselves again has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. I truly believe that when women support and uplift each other, something powerful happens.
